    This vintage haori in 100% lightly creped chirimen silk 縮緬, a traditional Japanese kimono jacket type, captivates with its luminous white sheen, entirely adorned with autumn motifs: chrysanthemums 菊 (kiku) and maple leaves 紅葉 (momiji), in a warm palette of reds, ochres, greens, and purples. A delicate and cheerful piece, perfect for mid-season.

    🔶 Outer pattern:
    Dense patterns of chrysanthemum flowers 菊 and maple leaves 紅葉, intertwined with thin light blue stems that structure the whole. The contrast of autumnal colors on a white background brings freshness and dynamism.

    🌸 Inner lining:
    White damask silk, decorated with large chrysanthemums 菊 woven in tone-on-tone, for subtle and refined elegance.

    Care instructions – Haori KOGEDO

    Cleaning

    • Dry clean only, by a professional.
      For silk haori, choose a dry cleaner experienced in handling silk.
    • Do not wash with water (by hand or machine): traditional dyes may bleed, especially shibori fabrics.

    After the port

    • After wearing, it is recommended to simply air it on a hanger, away from direct sunlight.

    Garment Steaming

    • Gentle steam ironing is possible, without direct contact with the fabric.
    • Generally, it is not recommended to use a traditional iron. Use a protective cloth between the haori and the iron if necessary.
    • For textured haori, do not iron!

    Odours

    • We preferentially select haori that do not have a strong odor.
    • In case of a light odor, a very fine and localized misting, from a distance, of a mild fabric spray suitable for delicate fibers, followed by air drying.
    • Always perform a preliminary test on an inconspicuous area

    Precautions

    • Avoid rain and prolonged humidity.
    • Avoid direct sun exposure.
    • Avoid repeated rubbing and contact with light-colored textiles.
    • Do not spray perfume directly onto the fabric.
