    Description:

    Japanese folding fan (sensu 扇子) made of cardboard, decorated with a blue and gold gradient with metallic reflections, featuring an elegant golden kamon 家紋.
    The frame is made of black lacquered wood, simple and well-finished.

    The crest depicted is a Daki-kiku-no-ha ni Katabami 抱き菊の葉に酢漿草: two chrysanthemum leaves kiku-no-ha 菊の葉 “embrace” the central motif of katabami 酢漿草, a stylized oxalis often associated with Japanese family crests. Both sides are decorated.

    The fan also bears a handwritten inscription, probably the name of its former owner: Komori Kiku 小森 キク.

    🦝 Our opinion:

    A very beautiful traditional Japanese fan, its blue and gold colors are stunning, and the golden kamon gives it a very chic and charming touch! We love the inscription with the former owner's name, which immediately adds more soul to this vintage item.

    It will look great as a wall decoration, or simply placed to bring an authentic Japanese touch.

    And of course, it works very well for cooling down during summer heat!
