    🍶 Description:

This pair of authentic guinomi in Arita porcelain (有田焼) dates from the late Edo period, when Hizen workshops perfected medallion decorations and miniature scenes inspired by the Japanese landscape.

Each cup features a delicate set of hand-painted medallions, alternating lakeside landscapes, boats, pine trees, and refined geometric patterns. The palette combines a softened cobalt blue, ochre-brown highlights, and touches of gilding characteristic of high-quality productions from this period.

The 肥前 (Hizen) seal, painted in red on the side, attests to a prestigious regional origin, while the blue mark 兼 (Ken) under the base refers to a workshop active in the years 1820–1860, before the massive opening to export during Meiji.

    🦝 Our Opinion:

Drinking sake (or anything else!) from this type of magnificent Edo-era Guinomi will clearly add a new dimension to your tastings!
