    This pure rinzu 綸子 silk haori, a traditional Japanese kimono jacket, is a refined tribute to spring blossoms. It poetically embodies the discreet elegance of the Shōwa (昭和) era, blending weaving finesse with rich symbolism.

    🌸 Outer pattern: A floral composition mixing 梅 (ume, plum blossoms), the little sisters of sakura – symbols of renewal and resilience – and stylized seasonal flowers. The whole is delicately jacquard-woven in shades of burnt orange, ivory, silver, and gold, on a salmon pink background with small floral motifs, creating a subtle visual movement.

    🌼 Inner lining: Pink silk with silver reflections, adorned with large 菊 (kiku, chrysanthemums) woven tone-on-tone – imperial emblems of longevity and dignity.

    📏 Dimensions:

    • Sleeve to sleeve span: 136 cm
    • Height (shoulder to hem): 85 cm

    🧵 Material: 100% silk – Japanese jacquard silk of the 綸子 (rinzu) type, a traditional soft and slightly satin-like silk whose patterns are directly woven into the fabric. Appreciated for its softness and subtle reflections, it reveals tone-on-tone designs with the light and movement.

    ⭐️ Condition: Excellent, probably never worn – soft and bright fabric, no signs of age.

    Origin: Japan, discovered in Shizuoka Prefecture.

    Care instructions – Haori KOGEDO

    Cleaning

    • Dry clean only, by a professional.
      For silk haori, choose a dry cleaner experienced in handling silk.
    • Do not wash with water (by hand or machine): traditional dyes may bleed, especially shibori fabrics.

    After the port

    • After wearing, it is recommended to simply air it on a hanger, away from direct sunlight.

    Garment Steaming

    • Gentle steam ironing is possible, without direct contact with the fabric.
    • Generally, it is not recommended to use a traditional iron. Use a protective cloth between the haori and the iron if necessary.
    • For textured haori, do not iron!

    Odours

    • We preferentially select haori that do not have a strong odor.
    • In case of a light odor, a very fine and localized misting, from a distance, of a mild fabric spray suitable for delicate fibers, followed by air drying.
    • Always perform a preliminary test on an inconspicuous area

    Precautions

    • Avoid rain and prolonged humidity.
    • Avoid direct sun exposure.
    • Avoid repeated rubbing and contact with light-colored textiles.
    • Do not spray perfume directly onto the fabric.
