    This antique maru obi captivates with the subtlety of its hues and the richness of its narrative decor: a classic Japanese landscape composed of traditional pavilions, arched wooden bridges, hills, stylized pines and seasonal flowers, in a style reminiscent of painted scrolls (emaki) or Japanese ukiyo-e prints of everyday life (fuzoku-ga).

    Its ivory beige background, enhanced with silver and copper threads, catches the light elegantly, creating a vibrant and lively silk effect. The pattern, repeated on both sides, allows for a wide variety of presentations, whether worn as a kimono or repurposed as a decorative table runner, wall hanging, or textile art piece.
